Winner of the Compasso d’oro award in 1970, the Soriana led Italian couple Afra and Tobia Scarpa to instant success. Together in 1968 they designed a two-seater cloud-like sofa for low-slung lounging. An original concept, the fully stuffed seat maintains its structure in metal belts front and back. It then shot to further collectability this decade after appearing in the beautiful homes of famous American interior designers Kelly Wearstler and Nate Berkus. in excellent condition, with only some age and patina to the metal. Newly upholstered by Golborne 44 in Corda Chalk, a corduroy fabric by Designers Guild.
